Not sure if this is a top tip, but it worked well.. Confused Potting on my squash a few weeks back, into pots... strangely... Rolling Eyes and I hadn't got any crocks, tea bags, anything vaguely useful to use for drainage... sooooooooooooo I attacked the newspaper and used that to block the holes... worked a treat! Shocked

Dead healthy plants and the paper kept in the moisture, and was just rotting as I potted on again... Just thought I'd share.... Confused Very Happy

I use them .........oh what d'ya call em Rolling Eyes .......................thats it polysterene (is that how you spell it)....thingies that yer get as packaging Laughing

I have come to the conculsion... that, as long as it is permeable ( I know long, long word) and hopefully biodegradable ( Very Happy ) then use it...

Was going to say.... Reedos got a posh coffee machine .... Cool I'd think that would be perfick.... You stick one coffee pod into your pot, plant.... plant in it.... AND THEN STICK THE LOT IN THE OVEN 150 deg FOR AN HOUR MIN.
