what about rust on chives guys....................we had it last year on the same bunch of chives, cut em down and they came back beautiful this year, flowered and were wonderful but in the last week all three bunches of chives in 3 different parts of the garden have sprouted rust Shocked ..............should i just dig em and start again next year, cut em down again or ignore it Shocked

Weather conditions apparently. Nowt to be done about but you could try an application of potash, or wood ash off the bonfire. If they look horrible, cut em back Del. I cut mine back and they're back better than ever.

With onions you rotate them whereas chives you generally don't so maybe they need planting in a new spot.

Some advice is to leave it, and some to dig it all straight away and burn it Shocked
