sulphur dust (Vitax). Not sure if it's organic

Improve air flow round plants and make sure they're not dry at the roots. Remove affected leaves and burn em. I got it on me roses cos I planted em too close together Rolling Eyes They like a bit of air Smile Those electric greenhouse heaters have a blower air mover thingy to help prevent such probs but I don't spose you have power. You'll have to wave your arms about. Oh you already do Wink A punkah wallah is an idea Smile

more of Mr Flowerdew ...

" Mildews are fungi of broadly two types, powdery and downy. Generally speaking the powdery forms so less damage than the downy, grey-matted ones. They attack plants under stress, 'eating' from the outside. The commonest causes are plants too dry at the roots, and stagnant air.

Good growing conditions suitable to the plant, careful pruning and training to allow access of air and light will so much to alleviate mildew.

Growing any of the alliums nearby will offer some protection, but this needs time to work. Removing diseased material helps. Wood ashes, equisetum tea, seaweed and nettle sprays make plants tougher and more resistant to disease"

... any good Confused

I find hanging your swimming trunks up to dry as soon as you get home and not leaving them in a bag for a week in the airing cupboard prevents mildew.

That real handy cos we never sure about the sulphur and some of the hybrids suffer from mildew

Err just brought this to LMKIA attention, the first paragraph says 'Not only was milk found to be effective at controlling the disease, it also acted as a foliar fertilizer, boosting the plant's immune system'.

The leaves only accept O2 and CO2 and sunlight.
Plants do not have an immune system.

she them went on to gibber about it being illegal, so back to square one, she often does this to me Sad
