this is the tapestry I started 16 months ago as a gift for my mate when he married treacle from over the road.

As you can see, it's still not finished.
Their first anniversary is next week Rolling Eyes Embarassed

it's about 3ft x 2 and a half ft but will be a fair bit bigger when the border goes on and it's been stretched.

I met him cos I had a shop which sold archery equipt and he needed bespoke arrows (a big lad, 6ft 5") so I've used a archery theme.

in the tapestry he has a real oak longbow (not sewn on yet) and there are dead animals with arrows (also not sewn on yet Embarassed ) sticking out of them all over the floor Laughing

his new stepdaughter is gathering apples, one of which will be balanced on treacle's head (but, of course, it's not there yet) and she has her hands over her eyes cos he's missed and killed all these animals Laughing

the wide border (all together now, not sewn on yet) reads ' trust is the foundation of marriage' and their names and date of the wedding.

at least it will if they are still together when, IF Shocked I ever finish the blimmin thing Rolling Eyes
