Boltardy - obviously. Picking from June till September. Not the best flavour though.

We love the long cylindrical red beet (like sausages).
I've grown Forono for a few years, and tried Cylindra this year - couldn't tell them apart, both have a big beetroot flavour. They stand well sticking out of the ground away from the slugs, stay tender and sweet even when big, grow well either single or multi sown. Not fussy, great germination, long season Very Happy

The organic Detroit 2 tastes fantastic and you get 100 % germination, easy to grow. Fabulous taste. Can't get enough so bought two packets this year Very Happy

I'll second both the Cylindra recommendation and the Boltardy one!

Tastewise, the Cylindra was slightly inferior to Boltardy (not quite as sweet?) but despite the two I was comparing both being enormous specimens (the Cylindra weighed a pound!) they were both tender.
