I didn't leave a space from top of cabbages and mesh and the butterfies just layed through it. We have masses of butterfies in the summer, we go for a walk in the lanes and by the river and some of the bushes are covered. Think my greens are just a tasty addition to their native plants. Even ate some of my French marigolds last year.

I've ordered more ultrafine enviromesh. This year both lots of cabbages are going to be underneath it. CWs can't get through it, and so I peg it down well!
