I had loads of strawbs through June and July, when I cut back the plants two still had some flowers on, so I left 'em. We are still getting a couple of fruit a week from these two pants Confused Exclamation But it is keeping Carles happy - 'cos he gets to eat 'em all Laughing Laughing Laughing

I think I've only had a couple this year but there is a new crop - still white - but good sized. Wonder if they'll get chance to ripen. There's a right nip in the air this morning Rolling Eyes

Took me ages yesterday to disentangle pea netting from the overgrown strawberry bed Embarassed What do you do with all the runners? Cut them? Leave them? replant them? Chuck them? Confused

You're supposed to replace strawbs every 3 years I think it is, Dom... I put my babies in little pots, still attached to mum and when they take off, set em freeeeeeeeeee!! Laughing

The old boy next door has a moving strawberry bed.. Shocked he gets rid of the oldest with the new ones, and just brings the bed forward and back again each season, apparently it's been all over his gardn over the years... Shocked

Or bung on the compost heap if you don't want them, or give them away, or a nice hat deco or something? Confused

Some of my strawbs which fruited in early June have just started flowering again - I think they're either confused by the weather or traumatised by the house move Rolling Eyes Laughing Laughing They've not sent out any runners at all this year Confused
