... while away we found some Aubs to die for ...
they were large and round ... size of a grapefruit ... pale amuve and white under the calyx
... and the taste of them fresh was sheer heaven
... so far have only found seed from Fothergills that remotely fit their look ... anybody know of any other source? _________________ Gulp ...

Hi Flo
These ones in the Organic Gardening Catalogue sound similar - says they're considered the best by gourmets too

I aint grown that one but I bet someone on here has. Dom probly
I grew Marketmore, or rather I didn't. They were a total flop
So on 16 th Jan last year I sowed Aubergine Bonica an F1 and I had lovely aubs. Booooootiful. Outdoors on the plot but surrounded by a home made frame made with four old window frames screwed together, no lid required tho |

Never occurred to me to sow aubs this early, but why not? I shall hunt out my seed packets at the weekend and see if I can find the missing packet of orange ones which never did turn up
