Hot footed it to Lidl yesters cos rumour was they had apple trees at £3.99 each. They did but had sold out by the time I got there Sad I did get a Comice pear but I soooooo wanted apples Sad

So you could try your local branch - you might have more luck Smile

Well my old man managed to get me two apples from Lidl and I put one of them in today - a Bramley. It took me ages to do it and I was knackered by the time I'd done. I was planting it in me "lawn" on the plot and taking the top layer of turf off really made me back ache, so I'm not doing the next one for another couple of days. Getting a right old bloody crock I am Rolling Eyes

The next one to go in is a Cox's Smile

I have four baby coxes but no Granny Smiths. Must have pollinated from somewhere else cos the GS didn't even flower Confused

Have you tried looking in Woolies ?? They were selling off stuff for a £1 .. mind you some things were only fit for the compost!! Rolling Eyes
