Sturon would be my recommendation. Good keepers and easy to grow

I noticed the other day that I stilll have some red barons in the ground. I must have missed them because the calendula had grown over them. They look fine, tad small but I'll leave them

Sturon and Stuttgarter are my choice as well. They do really well even when ignored.

Sturon keep the best of those I've tried so far.

Love Red Baron and they keep really well, for whites I will grow Bedfordshire something because its local, or was that sprouts, cant remember will deffo do a list this year.

Just been looking for onion seeds for a second variety. I can't believe how few varieties there are! Given that magazines are always going on about how much choice you get with seed over sets, I don't know what supplier they're using... cloudcuckoo seeds I reckon!
