Reminder to check your squashes and pumpkins in store. Went for one today from the shed and it had started rotting at one end. Caught it just in time. Phew! A Crown Prince so I'd hate to have lost it.

I have just cut me very last Crown Prince Drogar-Sad(LBG)
It's in the oven now

Only got that humungous jumbo pink banana job and an acorn Rolling Eyes Note to self to grow more of them this year. Remind me someone Rolling Eyes

I love butternuts and managed to grow two Rolling Eyes Mind they were fabbo so grateful for owt really Very Happy They make good soup too. Some are a bit watery and don't but you live and learn. The less meaty ones are ok cubed and fried off then added to rice mixes etc. I love pumpkin curry. Which reminds me I better check the oven Shocked

Curry is what I'm doing.

...butternut hot for the mother-in-law and mild for the kids.

All my squash and pumpkin seed failed to germinate except for one Sunny Cinderella one which is out on the plot

Re-sowed the whole lot last night so hope fully this lot will germinate Rolling Eyes

I left all mine to sow on the 25th May (my wedding anniversary Rolling Eyes ) and I now seem to be over run !!

Wards save me a seed of the Cinderella will you I have a Sunny 'Futsu' that I could swap Wink
