You need to make sure the house and run are moved regularly. If chickens are left on the same ground all the time they become sick from the build up parasites and disease organisms in the ground. |

When I were a lass, we had bantams for a while and mum never moved em and they were fine. They were let out to scratch about in the garden fairly regularly but the shed and run were never moved. Did you see the bit about chooks in KG? _________________ I'm not big on high maintenance - when it's time to bow out, I'll skid in sideways, in a wrecked, wrinkly and burned out body, wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Woooohoooo, what a ride that was!!!!" |

If your only going to have a few birds you could possibly get away without moving the run. Depends on the size of the run and amount of chickens. |
