apparently, if you drop 1 or 2 seeds of garlic chives wiv your brassica seed, it germinates at the same time and ..err.... oh yes, when you plant it out, it smells and the cabbage fly doesn't like it Very Happy
Just read that in the 1/2 hr allotment book Very Happy

I borrowed it from the library Bags, have a look to see if they've got it... Not worth buying I don't think.... Confused But it does tell you how many plants 'one' needs for say a family of four, to avoid gluts and things Embarassed Recommends 4 courgette plants Embarassed Laughing
I could never manage to spend 30 min a day on the lottie, everyday. Also it gives a sample timetable i,e, pick leeks, 10 min, weed, 10 min, dig bed 10 min.... Shocked Very regimented like, which I'm not Embarassed

Am I the only one who *doesn't* bother about courgette gluts? I just laugh about it and give them all away!

I got about 2 courgettes last year off 4 plants. And 2 whopping marrows. It was the crappiest year so far that's why I am dowsizing and having a veg plot at home too.
