Look into Blueberries too ... (maybe in muffins )
... they are reported to be the BEST wonder food Other 'miracle' foods include broccoli nuts and yogurt of course.
... stir frys might be helpful ... did you this ...

children on a restricted diet should eat something orange with every meal. (or so says Sophie's gastro enterologist consultant)
apparently the orange thing (carrot, butternut, sweet potato, mango, tangerine etc etc) is what enables their system to 'take up' the vits and mins from the rest of the meal.
Brocolli for example contains loads of iron but kids bodies can't process it efficiantly (which is possibly why kids often don't like green veg he reckons)
orange things contain a substitute for the chemical their guts lack so to get the iron from broc they must also eat carrot.
am I making any sense at all?
I've got a lovely recipe for falafels with orange & carrot salad if you need one _________________

I recall Tara reading that in the Eat your Way to a Better back book when my old man was in agony and waiting for his neurosurgery. The orange fruuit and veg loomed large in that so sounds kosher advice
My niece fractured her arm a few years back and the docs recommended she eat broc and vit B foods in general. Vit B foods are good for healing too so are essential
I suppose the crux of all this is to make sure the kids eat a very varied diet. Takes more thinking about I suppose but you're planning your own veg meals anyway Del so should be a doddle for yer mate
Speaking of veggie meals I'm doing a lentil curry for tea cos I have lovely cauli and it makes for a lovely gloop, tin of toms bunged in too. Managed to get my mitts on some bona fide curry leaves yesterday too while on my travels in Lincs. Rarer'n rocking orse shite they are |

Plumstead has a large Asian community so you can get them there easily. And it gives me an excuse to go and buy yummies like frozen samosas and parathas. Sluuuuuuuuuuurpppp _________________ Get with the beat Baggy |
