The day after we moved I was presented with a hooooge bag of plums from a neighbour, so I raved out me bucket and decided to get my priorities in order and make some wine Wink sod finding the toaster Laughing Laughing Laughing

The recipe says to add pectin enzyme am presuming coz there is a lack of pectin in plums Confused anyway off I pootled to Wilkos and they don't have any, there is nowhere else in Scunthorpe to buy wine making stuff from .......................................will it be disastrous if I don't add it Question

D raisins or sultanas provide pectin?

what stage do you have to add pectin?
If it's after the initial soak and mash stage perhaps we'd have time to find some and post it to you Confused

No it's t'other way DelPet - pectic enzyme is used to break down pectin. It helps the wine clear
