Abbie has sat on some at school Shocked , theres a luuverly big white splodgey mark on her black schooll trousers, anyone any tips for getting rid Confused

Jess, not wanting to be left out has a hoooooooooge tippex splodge on her black school trousers, anyone any tips for that one n'all Confused


I don't reckon chewing gum or tippex should be allowed at school Evil or Very Mad

Freezer. Shove trous in. Chip it off once solid. Repeat if it gets pliable. Eventually you'll get it off.

tippex - hmm used to get thinners which worked well but now it's all non-addictive so supposed to be better. Try acetone (nail varnish remover). Though test on inside hem first in case it reacts with the material!

Chewing gum - yeah, freeze it. Then you can try white spirit or meths for any little ground-in bits, but like MB says, you might want to check colour-fastness. My book also suggests egg-white for washable fabric if the gum's still soft. Just says 'apply' - not how much or for how long!

Dunt mention tippex or correction fluid either... Confused the author obviously never makes mistakes when writing books. Or has a PA to type Laughing Laughing Laughing

thanks girls, good ole mum was given Abbies trousers to sort out coz I haven't got freezer yet, anyway, it worked Laughing

off to Wilkos today to will get some white spirit and try the tippexed ones later
