Anybody know anything about them Question Question Question

Walking Charlie this morning I found a big sprawly bush with fruit on in a field - they look like figs I thought - on closer inspection they were. Some are green and some brown.

So when are they ready to eat Question
Are they worth eating cos dried ones are truly YAK Question

Yeah I do, just not brassicas generally, dried fruit, marmite, green peppers, anything aniseedy, butter beans (even typing butter beans makes me shudder), Fry's Turkish Delight, marzipan, snails, Dr Peppers - think that's about it Laughing Laughing Laughing

I've not grown a fig but I have read that if the roots are not contained or in at least in really poor soil, they divert too much energy there and so produce less or sometimes no fruit Confused

Tried one today that was a kind of brown colour, it was OK, a bit bland, but I don't think it was properly ripe yet. I'll try again in a week or so Very Happy
