I want to get a pot of hyacinths as I always forget to plant my own for the house. I love the smell but it really makes my dad sneeze like billy-o.
BTW my friend bought me a bunch of lillies from sainsburys and the smell was so overpowering that I had to put them in the kitchen, yet the same (or at least they look it) for M&S have no smell whatsoever, as did their roses. Do yo uthink that M&S have genetically engineered them to not pong ?

I will have a Galanthus Elwesii out in the next couple of days - about three weeks earlier than usual.

ho hum.

moonbells

(I had some prepared hyacinths which I buried under a load of upturned buckets outside till they had grown their shoots, only to have them nibbled off by blinking slugs... argh)
