Well I'm finally up out of bed at last so can send a few messages. Had the ruddy norovirus, so haven't eaten for days and so that gave me a migraine!
Thank goodness Sir's at home - would be a mare if he'd not been about to babysit.
Right, now the annual attempt to get some leek verina seed...

That's fantastic - but what did you say? I lapsed my sub to KG last summer (seemed pointless when I was stuck in bed and couldn't even bear to read any garden mags).
I found me leek seed - down the road in High Wycombe. Mail order P&P was a ripoff 3.99 for a 1.99 order of a simple packet, so shall make a day out of it when I'm not infectious and go get the darn things. Though suspect will get a few packets as I can always save them in the fridge for next year!

the article was a bit maudlin cos it was done ages ago so not proud of it Mind you I aint turning my nose up at the free seeds
Glad to hear you've tracked down the leek seed MB - knew you would
Cleaned my greenhouse out a bit anorl Flo. Just a sweep out and a bit of cobweb clearing. The sodding thing leaks like a colander unfortunately and I got friggin drowned in icy water when I lifted down my heated propagator down from the shelving. The lid had filled with rain Oh well, it woke me up
Sowed my first seeds of the year - sweet pea "Gwendoline" Oh happy days .... tra la la |

Took OH to pub lunchtime to celebrate becoming an OAP.
Post arrived today at 9:30am instead of usual late afternoon, non of his cards were delivered . Know several posted Saturday first class. His sister was upset hers hadn't arrived.
A bit sad especially as first year he won't be getting a card from his parents |
