I didn't know you could buy frogs (except on street corners of course). Are they different to the ones that just turn up at your pond?

yes, special 'aquatic' frogs for tropical fishtanks Very Happy

sadly, one has already 'croaked' Sad
he crawled up onto the filter housing and squeezed himself out through the gap where the wire plugs in.....he made it about three feet across the living room floor before drying out Rolling Eyes

It's such a shame...can't see anyway to safely plug the gap and so can't have aquatic frogs after all Crying or Very sad and they were such fun! they run around the tank....they hop and leap in the water....they land on the fish and drive them bonkers.
Now only Dom remains Crying or Very sad

I had two clowns and they squeezed themselves into some small decorative shells I'd put in the tank Rolling Eyes Took me bleeding ages to find them and then had to crack the shells carefully to get them out. I'd emptied everything out the damn tank to find them. No more fishies for me Evil or Very Mad I sold the whole tank cos I ended up with the job of looking after them. Did a good job of it though and had some beauties - even bred some fabbo trops and sold them to a profeshnial Laughing Glad to see the back of them though cos a lot of work.

Sorry to hear about the frog Sad

Shocked RIP Chique, long live Dom-the-aquatic-frog Cool

I like looking at fishies swimming about, but never wanted to have any. You'll maybe need to get another one so Dom doesn't go looking for Chique when she gets lonely Laughing

Shocked sorry to hear you've lost one frog already Tara Sad OH used to have a tank of marine fish plus an eel (called Ed Rolling Eyes Laughing ) Ed disappeared one day and we dismantled the whole tank thinking he was stuck in a filter or something, but couldn't find any trace - found him dead a week later at the other end of the (21ft) living room, under a book case Shocked

Shocked Shocked Shocked shoulda been called Houdini, obviously.

It reminds me of when one of my bros had snakes and there was one that used to keep escaping - I recall it being found behind the bathroom radiator one day just after I'd been in there having a bath Shocked Good job it stayed hidden Laughing
