Not yet. Babies are very susceptible to kitten scratch fever. I thought about it - but kittens need socialising and being on call to a baby would override that. I spent *hours* with B on my knee in the first month. Cat had to put up with Sir, and she's an adult!

The mum of my twin godkids got a Jack Russell the same week she brought them home. Manic animal! It's still more badly behaved than the twins put together.

What's more Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes is that both kids have allergies (as parents do) so food etc has to be carefully prepped. Then they found out the dog was allergic to most dogfoods... Rolling Eyes

My sister was 14 years old when we got our first dog, from a farm. During the night my sister went down with a raging fever, the doc was called out and he blamed the new dog which he reckoned had brought the germs (as they called em in them days) She was ok but was really very ill for 24 hours.

Also, I worked for a Pathologist and we got quite a few samples of noxious wound drainings as a result of cat bites.

No, don't go there Bags. Tis madness Very Happy Woe, woe and thrice woe Very Happy
