Tis blowing a right gale here Wards, I was nearly blown over a couple of times this afternoon at the plot Shocked I think fleece will be the best bet for there, cos cloches would end up in the Humber Laughing

Now then - do you think my newly planted taters will need cosying up if it gets very cold for a couple of days, or will they be ok?

those Aurora Sad The germination has been patchy at best. I got three puny looking toms through but now I only have one left and that looks terrible. The only ones with any vigour are the Mortgate Lifters but they desparately need potting on. I hope I get time tomorrow

I have some tom and aub seeds if anyone needs more. They're millie-fleur toms and diamond aubs, both from real seeds. Or maybe it's too late to sow these now?

Have any of your aubs and chillis survived you two? Sad Mine are still puny but if they do make it I can share them out Very Happy

Typical innit, it's been bright sunshine since 5 oclock, when it's too late to go plotting Evil or Very Mad Rained on and off all day Rolling Eyes But I sowed cabbages and brocs, and toms which I had forgotten, and even some chillis which were a freebie, might still have a crop who knows Cool

Loads of stuff to go to the plot though so hoping for bright weather tomorrow Very Happy

I may have one tiny aubergine and one unknown chili survive.

I am also going to have about 200 brassica seedlings come up where I have sown my carrots. I have broadcast the seed in a foot wide row and covered it with the seed compost from yesterday's mishap. I think we may be having some of those micro-salads this summer. Very Happy

you are certainly likely to have some chillis Dom, more have survived than was expected and I owe you some from last year Laughing

The aubs have rallied and might well make it (assuming of course, that I leave well alone Embarassed )

Courgettes are usually through quite quickly but give them another week. Tis still very early for courgettes - they like warmth to germinate. I won't be sowing mine for about two weeks.
