Tis blowing a right gale here Wards, I was nearly blown over a couple of times this afternoon at the plot I think fleece will be the best bet for there, cos cloches would end up in the Humber
Now then - do you think my newly planted taters will need cosying up if it gets very cold for a couple of days, or will they be ok? _________________ I'm not big on high maintenance - when it's time to bow out, I'll skid in sideways, in a wrecked, wrinkly and burned out body, wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Woooohoooo, what a ride that was!!!!" |

those Aurora The germination has been patchy at best. I got three puny looking toms through but now I only have one left and that looks terrible. The only ones with any vigour are the Mortgate Lifters but they desparately need potting on. I hope I get time tomorrow |

I have some tom and aub seeds if anyone needs more. They're millie-fleur toms and diamond aubs, both from real seeds. Or maybe it's too late to sow these now? |

Put my (two) aubs out in the sunshine for a little treat yesterday. Also my peppers and chillis.
They were only out there an hour but I think they might be done for
they're all wilted and sad looking today |
That is exaclty what happened to mine - to us it feels warmer. To them..... _________________

I may have one tiny aubergine and one unknown chili survive.
I am also going to have about 200 brassica seedlings come up where I have sown my carrots. I have broadcast the seed in a foot wide row and covered it with the seed compost from yesterday's mishap. I think we may be having some of those micro-salads this summer. _________________

Courgettes are usually through quite quickly but give them another week. Tis still very early for courgettes - they like warmth to germinate. I won't be sowing mine for about two weeks. _________________
