I'd try again Confused And like Imp says, they need warmth to germinate, did you sow them indoors?

I sowed butternut squash two weeks ago in my mini GH inside the unheated GH and they're only just peeping through as of yesterday. Ditto sweetpeas. Not tried courgettes yet and am wondering whether to sow french beans yet or not - it's still going down to near freezing in there some nights...

Hmm. You're darn sarf as well. Might hold off a bit then. I sowed em on 25/3 last year, but it was a lot warmer I think.

My courgettes have germinated now Very Happy
Butternut squash, I did those about a month ago and they came up quite quickly and are growing steadily. I also had a couple of Burgess Buttercup squash seeds from a swap. One of those has germinated and is growing like mad! It's on a really sunny windowsill but is getting massive so I hope it warms up outside soon before it outgrows the house Shocked

Well Dom, this evening I've sowed some cobra beans in loo rolls in the GH.

Also potted on french marigolds and red cabbage into modules and Josh sowed some minipops as well Cool My potimarrons are up (ta Flo - where is she??) Very Happy and have sage and flat-leaf parsley seedlings too (ta Wards) Very Happy My solitary cucumber's looking a bit sorry for itself, a couple of leaves are a bit yellow round the edges. I think it might be feeling the cold, so that'll be coming into the house tomorrow Confused

... and I planted more onion sets I was given Cool

It never rains as Dom says Laughing Laughing Laughing

Bizarrely in a place where it doesn't rain very often they make no concession to this in the design of houses - hence all the drainpipes are built into the framework of the house, so you can't divert water from the shower, sink etc cos it goes straight into the ground. You can't buy water butts, hence me using dustbins, there are no gutters on the roof and all the water on the camp whne it rains flows down storm drains into the sea Confused
