I would give rue a very wide berth because it causes such horrible bloody burns

Guy I worked with was horribly burned when he decided to tackle a mass of overgrown rue in his newly acquired garden. he was wearing shorts and no shirt but didn't know what it was he was dealing with.

He ended up in hospital in a right mess Sad

Same as what I thought, send them to never never land while they remove skin with a wire brush.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

TANSY – Tanacetum vulgare - the strong scent of this plant discourages BEETLES, ANTS and FLIES, also aphids, cabbage worms, colorado beetles, squash bugs, japanese beetles
Plant near fruit trees to deter FRUIT MOTH
Sprinkle dried, crushed leaves to get rid of ANTS

RUE - Ruta - grow around the house to repel flies, horse flies and mosquitoes.
Excellent insect repellent.
Sometimes, rue plants are also used as natural pesticides, planted among other bushes such as roses or raspberries to keep away insects and small animals.

Some evidence suggests it may act as a natural herbicide against some other plants, as well! Wink

... maybe it might work on ground elder !! Rolling Eyes Laughing
