I have gone bark chip crazy in my front garden looks fab if I do say so myself - but I have just been thinking about self seeding plants - bulbs will just barge on through but how do self seeders cope ? I have a great patch of aquilega and they breed like crazy - does any one have any experiance with bark chips ?

I thought the slugs didn't like slithering over the bark chips much ? - oh well back to the beer traps Twisted Evil

everything will be fine Bob, I had bark chips on every bed at the old house and its amazing how robust and tough little seedling can be Very Happy

Just seen this, yeah it'll all be fine Bob, seedling can get through loads of stuff and aquilegia are tough little buggers - they'll be fine Very Happy
