How long has anybody kept seeds for ... AND ... germinated them with success? Confused

I know snips are naff if you don't sow fresh each year .... but .........

I have rather a lot of seeds that are fast approaching three years old Embarassed .... so what do you think? ........

tomatoes are good for ten years(d'you reckon that means peppers are too? aren't they related?)
as are melons (so probably other curcubits too)
