Talking of which, I think Chemical Ali was on my plot before I got it. I did some more digging today and the bit I was on is chock full of huge roots ?docks/dandelions, but there's no perennial top growth at all apart from the odd bit of couch grass. It may be a poor crop harvest _________________ I'm not big on high maintenance - when it's time to bow out, I'll skid in sideways, in a wrecked, wrinkly and burned out body, wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Woooohoooo, what a ride that was!!!!" |

There's one old guy who told me it'd not really been used much for the 4 years the last person had it, so probably they nuked the weeds if they got out of hand. Oh well, we'll see Of course if it all goes horribly wrong, it'll be weedkiller, not me....... _________________ I'm not big on high maintenance - when it's time to bow out, I'll skid in sideways, in a wrecked, wrinkly and burned out body, wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Woooohoooo, what a ride that was!!!!" |

Looking good mate - your runners are further on than mine unless they have had a growth spurt over the past couple of days. _________________

Mine are only just starting to curl round my canes. Haven't lost any though which is a first for me so I am well pleased. Should have a good harvest this year. Sowed some seeds when I planted out too so will end up with two per cane and some still producing when the older ones are thinking of packing it in. _________________

Mine was Moroccan mint (at home) and common mint on the plot. It must have got colder than I thought and it's wiped it all out. Damn I shall cadge some as someone's bound to have some. Shame about the Moroccon stuff though as it's well behaved stuff, well apart from dying that is
Spuds and mint. Can't beat it Wonder which came first |

Fancy, not having any mint! It's just not on |
Would you like some eau de colgne mint to go round you pond?? Bunnies wouldn't like that !!
Buy some mint from the supermarket and plant it ... that's what I did wiith mint this year when I realised it had not come up !! _________________ Gulp ...
