Despite being only about 1' tall (at the end of today probably down to 1" ravaged stumps Rolling Eyes ) some of my sweetcorn is throwing up side shoots. Now, despite what others say, I have never known these amount to anything but do suspect they divert energy from the main plant. I planted only a foot apart to prevent them in the first place!

So, fellow Sages of Vegetables, do you think I can remove them?

I shall do it when I get the chance and shall report back. Do you think I should cut them or pull them off?
