One of my clients has got that in one of their flower beds - they've had it for years but as it's only in a small area they just pull the top growth off as it appears and make sure they never compost anything from that bed - it doesn't appear to have spread to anywhere else in the garden

Nope not got horsetail Dom. Just a lush crop of couch grass and a gazillion roots waiting to be dug up everytime I put a fork in the soil That and docks and thistles seem to be the main ones.

Sounds like a Lincs lotty that one. My main weeds are couch, creeping thistle, sow thistle, dandelions, docks and poppies (but I love them). I even appear to be growing opium poppies this year which weren't there previously

Cool Yeah, I forgot the dandelions - the roots go down miles anorl. I might sow some poppies at the lotty, mine in the garden are just showing tinges of red

Ah well I'm very glad you haven't got it Couch is back breaking work if you go the digging way but easy to get rid of ..well.... err... easier than marestail and bindweed The first year I found an Asada fork thing was brill, made it much easier
My half-plot had mainly nettles and docks, mega big ones But got there in the end Which left the ground free for the marestail to invade Argh, better laff
