and the flowers smell like lilies (with a hint of cats wee) Laughing Laughing Laughing

and if you do have a bush in your garden you could make wine...(needs a bucket, demijon, brewers yeast)

or 'champagne' very slightly alcoholic, extremely fizzy, refreshing drink..(needs a bucket and some old pop bottles, white wine vinegar)

or cordial to dilute with water....tastes of blossom, kids love it and there's no aspartme/colours/presrvatives.....(needs a mixing bowl and a box of citric acid from the chemist)

I have recipes for each if you want them Laughing

I got this recipe from the creative living forum and I tried it for the first time yesterday Very Happy
It is absolutely lovely! Shocked
The cordial will last in the fridge for two weeks or (top tip) freeze it in empty pop bottles to drink year round.

10-12 flowerheads (get rid of as much stalk as possible)
1 1/2 lbs of sugar
1oz citric acid (which you can buy from the chemist)
rind and juice of 1 lemon.
1 pint of boiling water.

bung ingredients in a bowl and pour over the boiling water.
stir to dissolve the sugar.
cover, leave overnight, bottle Very Happy

How easy was that? Shocked
