I was reading about pips on the web and came across this:

Quote:
There are few scents in this world that move me quite the way grapefruit blossoms do. For those who have never had the pleasure, grapefruit blossoms are heady, sensual, exceptionally fragrant and not overly sweet but definitely strong.

As with all scents, we humans tend to attach memories and emotions to them - whatever I’ve attached to this scent must be pretty darned luscious.

Cool Cool Cool Laughing

It's now 10" tall Very Happy

... um ... not quite sure when, but has to be more than 5 but less than 7 years ago that I stuck some pips in the bottle garden in the hall! Then I forgot all about them until something strange arrived in the bottle garden!! Rolling Eyes Laughing

Anyway I potted it up and it lives on the patio during summer, and then goes just under cover in the passage at the side of the house through the winter. With the pelagoniums, fuschias, agapanthus, cannas, etc. Basically they get forgotten till spring! Rolling Eyes

I have two 'christmas stocking' satsumas growing too but they haven't flowered yet Sad
