Cabbage whites lurve my garden Confused
Naughty little pests they may be, but sooooo beautiful!
what to do?

Why, share of course Very Happy
So we collected the leaves with eggs on, and put them in a bucket. We fed the resultant caterpillars on 'spare' brassica leaves and took them on daytrips to school Laughing
They were VERY hungry caterpillars...shed their skins....and now we have crysalises (or whatever the word is Embarassed ) 42 of them to be exact Shocked

erm...how long do they take to hatch please....and is the woods a good release site? not a lot of cabbage there I'll grant you but will they be okay with stinging nettles and such?

we just got back from a fete where she held a couple of owls. the big barn owl was playing up but she got hold of him and he calmed right down straight away. The bloke on the stall said she was a 'natural'. He seemed very surprised at the effect she had Confused

I reckon it's cos animals can sense the awesome power of her dark side Twisted Evil
