Not much of it left under plastic now. The length where the chair is will hopefully be my asparagus bed

The pumpkins and squashes have come on like mad since I took that pic and you can hardly see any black mulch now. The runners on the wigwam are still pants Rolling Eyes

Spot the elderberries Cool Yes I do know the hedge wants cutting but not yet Very Happy

Brought home four squash yestreday ... the first of many ! Wink

But the most amazing germination is going on at the moment ... sowed mizuna, mibuna, chicories, mixed leaves, Bordeaux spinach, beetroot, raddishes, and cabbages .... the whole lot were through in FOUR days!! Shocked

This warm humidity is promoting 'speed growing' !! Razz

I'd better get me finger out then

Picked some goodly veggies today. Wanted a mixture to make pakora and ended up with courgettes (millions), peas, broc, coriander, spinach, onion, garlic and even fenugreek, spuds and carrots.

They were lovely Exclamation Dished up with fat Desiree chips and mango chutters. I was gonna do a salad but couldn't be fussed. Got the mixed lettuces, cues and red onion but OH didn't get back til 11.30 pm so I was a bit fed up of the whole idea by then Evil or Very Mad

Me either Dom. I was doing really well but was sharing the plot with a friend, we were having half each, but now he's decided that digging is too much hard work and only wants a quarter of the plot so i have to start again on the other side now Rolling Eyes The bits that we have done are looking good tho
