my bees nest is in use It really works. Bee has been busy filling up these chambers for months. Caught the busy bee at work today and watched him/her for a while to see what was happening. You can see that the bee uses leaves etc to block up the ends of the canes.

My niece bought it me for my birthday a few years ago but I only just noticed recently that leaves were appearing at the ends of the canes so thought I'd check it out. PLus I could hear noises from the house, so grabbed a chair and camera and sat ages watching her. Very relaxing My plot is very bee friendly this year as I've left clover for them, the privet hedge is in flower and they love that. Plus I left caulis and brocs to run to see. The broc was alive with insects yesterday The borage and marigolds are also attracting them.
I notice though that if you leave tubs of water about they'll try and drink from them and get into difficulties. I rescued a few yesterday that got into the water when I was using the water butt. So I shall make sure not to leave any with water in |

dunno Flo. I have to keep my eyes peeled I guess. May have to swot up as I am in complete ignorance of the process, and I would like to know what's been happening
I assume that she lays eggs, they hatch into bees, the end |
