Actually they're called 'Indonesian-style green bean sambal' Cool

Puree together 2 chopped chillis, i tblsp cider vinegar, 1 tblsp water and some salt. Easier said than done, I ended up pounding them in a mortar....
Heat oil in wok and stir-fry beans for a few seconds (1lb runner beans or normal green beans) then add chilli mixture, 2 tsps chopped garlic, 3 tbsps water, carry on stir-frying then cover wok and cook until beans are tender. Uncover and stir-fry until all liquid's gawn then add a sliced red onion.

Et voilą Very Happy Its a Ken Hom recipe and it's really yummy if you like spicy things Wink
