might turn into a box kite Confused

they are no stronger or heavier than the little four shelf ones and they have a larger surface area to catch the wind.

I'm sorry Ade, that was totally negative wasn't it?
I'm considering getting a couple of the low, coldframe shaped ones in the hope that they resist the weather better Very Happy

The plastic on them is meant to be a lot stronger than the cheap four shelved jobs. It is reinforced with a green fibre net within the plastic (which is why it looks green):

I emailed the company (Gardman) and they said will last 2 years, should last 4 years and the covers on their own are as cheap as the mini greenhouses (£19.99). I cannot afford a proper greenhouse and cannot afford a house with a garden big enough for a proper greenhouse. Oh, and cos I live in a small inner city terrace, my outdoor patch has a wall on three sides and a house on the other so it is unlikely to get blown away. My cheapo mini one has sat out there for three years and stayed put - the plastic is knackered now through age. This on also has a wall fixing kit and/or guys.

thing is, it is always the bars that break on mine rather than the plastic Confused
still, if the company say two years they might even have a warranty in which case you can't go wrong Cool

If it's a good price and guaranteed for 2 years I'd give it a whirl Impy, esp if your garden is sheltered. My ickle 3-shelf growhouse has survived 4 years outside includng being blown over a few times. I've put a new plastic cover on this year, but the bars are still in 1 piece, which is pretty good, considering the bashing they've had Shocked That one should stay put if it's got guy ropes? Confused

Impy, we have one of those up at the plot where it is teally windy. The frame isn't all that strong so we reinforced the joints with duct tape which seems to be doing the job nicely. The area where the zip is isn't great and does have a tendency to split if you're not careful. Other that that so far I have found it to be great. Ok so I've only had it a few months but it has done the job really well. Oh, and has guy ropes so you can anchor to the ground.

We bought ours in Argos and it would work out cheaper than getting from Ebay when you take into account p&p charges

There is one of the Argos ones available on e-bay - I am very tempted by it. But as zips, joints etc are an issue (i.e. the weak points), I am wondering that, if I can stretch to a branded Gardman, whether those things will be a bit stronger. (The dimensions of the Argos and the Gardman one of just different enough to suggest the Argos one is not an unbranded Gardman one)

Decisions, decisions!!!! Confused

I have to say it looks EXACTLY the same as the one we have from the picture.
