I got blight too but not had time to defoliate anything unfortunately. Had ONE tomato thus far but Wardy ate it
Spuds have it and a few have been stinky but not dug many of them up yet so must get it done once I get time, hopefully today at some point |

so bloody annoying isn't it. The plants look terrible don't they when they succumb. Looks as if we'll get more of it in the future. Never heard of it til last year. I lost most of my crop last year. Only the bog standard Tigerella and GD survived |

that's a good question. I have no idea  (that's a surprise  )
Blight is airborne so I woulda thought not. What toms are they cos if we have seed then you've no worries
Speaking of grillers, I grilled one of mine this morning and it was pap in seconds. It was a sub arctic I think |

Just don't wash any that you want to ripen inside, or if you do, dry them immediately with paper and don't leave them in a humid area or they'll disintegrate too.
I tend to leave green ones on a newspaper-covered table and inspect them daily, removing all the ones that look like they are on the turn.

And use a banana to excellerate the ripening process!
Have just this minute chopped up all my green toms and cooked them down a bit, will now freeze them until I want any more chutney ... kind got swamped

<Barefacedcheekmode>
If anyone's got too many green tomatoes, and not enough freezer space, I'll happily give them a good home for an appropriate donation cos this is my second year with no tomatoes and I am out of chutney!!!
