Well this year's apples are prolific, a bit small, not very codling mothy but look rather ghastly for all that. Black marks on the skin all over (though it's not bitter pit; the flesh underneath is lovely).

Means I did badly in the Show on Saturday but had a really good Bramley crumble on Sunday!!!!!!

Sorry to har about the show MB. But crumble is far better for the soul ... especially with clotted cream!!
