Always always always read the instructions on medicines properly - apparently avoid alcohol doesn't just mean don't bump into it - it means don't drink it Laughing

And don't double the dose - it doesn't work Confused

I did that when I got dumped onto concrete by a horse I was bareback riding ... took distalgesics 2 every 2 hours to a max of 8 Shocked

... was supposed to be 2 every 4 hours min ... slept like a baby, acted silly, giggled a lot Rolling Eyes

but actually quite dangerous could have knackered my kidneys! Shocked

I did a similiar thing when I had my daughter - grotty birth squillions of stiches so they gave me pain killers to come home with, I don't take medicines if I can help it so I foolishly presumed they were just normal painkillers and was taking 2 every four hours on the dot - I decided to read the box one day and the dose was supposed to be 1-2 every 8 hours Shocked

had too wean myself off them Laughing

they were very good
