Pardon the crosspost but it seems the allotment community has won a partial battle against an AgroChem giant:

"Dow have now indicated that they are withdrawing products which contain aminopyralid from sale and PSD is formally suspending their authorisations whilst we investigate the options for preventing a recurrence of this problem. A key issue in our consideration will be whether the conditions of use regarding manure are sufficient, or sufficiently well known."

But they still request people to sign the petition against this awful chemical

if you haven't already done so! There's 923 names as of now... they're hoping to hit a thousand by the end of the day.

Personally I think its all part of the agro-chemical industry's big idea to control the worlds food market - we try to seed save and garden organically - they create sterile seeds with gm and even if we try to use manure to be organic they create a poison so powerful that it even buggers up the manure. They also lobby the EU so hard that all seeds have to be licensed and documented and seed sellers the same.

I will now step off my soap box and take off my tin foil hat and go back on holiday Rolling Eyes
