Think it'll work - tis now done all over the south in ploytunnels. Just think it might be like the "early" English strawbs from the Superbastardmarkets and taste a bit insipid and a bit too acidic.

We had strawbs last night from s.m and if you closed your eyes and ate them you could have mistaken them for a tomato. Not sweet at all. (OH bought them as he is trying to get me to eat more fruit and veg. Told him not to get them again though ) Laughing
