I been using them for a few months now. They seem to do what it says on the tin. You're supposed to let them 'cook' for 2 weeks before emptying them Shocked , but I usually manage to fill the second bin in less than 2 weeks, so I jsut empty it into the compsot when I need to Very Happy I haven't noticed any smell despite putting in cooked stuff and bones - and I don't get those nasty little fruit flies in it either Very Happy
I also haven't had anything to put in my landfill bin for months tho Very Happy Very Happy

the green cone and Joanna are good jobs aren't they. Fancy those for bones. Mind you the birds get them but the bones still end up in landfill so I could do with a cone. When they first came out some councils gave folks a free one but I can't see that happening hereabouts. Pity

I was congratulating myself on not having to put my bin out after Christmas cos there was nowt in it Very Happy Mind you - don't know about you - but I was appalled at the amount of that formed plastic which seemed to come with every Christmas present Evil or Very Mad It's just not necessary, and all this packing should come with the responsibility of the maker having the job of recycling it Evil or Very Mad

Yeah, my bin's been full of that preformed plastic Evil or Very Mad Will have to think up something about that Confused
The green cone needs to be set deep into the ground and in full sun, if I remember rightly.... Couldnt find such a place in my garden Very Happy

Ooooh well done Penny Cool Can't wait to get mine now ....

Let me know how these go folks - I looked into them a bit back but found the bran to be quite expensive. If it's come down a bit then I might be tempted to look again - especially as all my compost bins are full except the one made from pallets on the plot.
