I also use the cleansing wipes most but if I had to choose I think it would be the traditional cotton wool application and removal, although I do use the washes about twice a week as I find that they work a little better

I have no idea what you are talking about. I use deep cleansing face wash and then slap moisturiser on!

Cotton wool, cleanser, toner & moisturiser. The last one when I remember, or am not so tired that I can't be bothered (so that's about 50% of the time, then Laughing Laughing Laughing ) I also use a wash-off exfoliator in the shower whenever I've been at the lotty to get rid of the grime.

I gave up on my face years ago. It's combination dry, flaky and intensely greasy, had acne since I was 12 and it's still not letting up. Nose looks like the surface of the moon it's got that many craters. Tried 'proper' skincare, tried cheapo stuff, expensive stuff... and before my wedding I spent a couple of weeks using acetone to degrease so I had no spots!!!!
Soap and water is the cheapest solution to keeping clean as nothing works on the rest...

Only thing that's ever given me a clear face was being preggers. Bit extreme so I'm resigned to having a problem face (in all senses). Mum once said 'Never mind dear, you'll not have any wrinkles when you're older' and I remember wailing 'That's no use when you're a teenager!'

She was also notable for saying (upon my wailing about hip size) that I'd never have trouble with having babies. I was pretty anti-children at the time... so yet another lead balloon. So what happened when I finally did have one? Caesarian!

moonbells (who loves her old mum dearly, and knows exactly where she got her lack of tact from!)

Well I'm different still ... just a hot flannel! Very Happy

But a cleanser that could be applied and washed off would be my preference Wink
