Last night (Dave was away) I heard a noise in the early hours.
I looked out the window to see two girls in my front garden
They were nicking me troll.

So I quietly pulled some clothes on and crept downstairs and burst out of the front door.
Well, by then they were already halfway up the street. they dropped the troll and scarpered so I chased them up the road but I had bare feet and anyway, they were in their twenties and way faster than a big old bird like me so they got away.

So there I am, on me own, barefoot in the street at 2am but what was worse?
my kids were alone in the house with the front door wide open in the middle of the night while I was right up the street
anything could have happened

oops! Well at least you realised what you did ... glad the door didn't bang shut with you outside and no key!

... but did they harm the roll ????
