What type of deodorants do we all use then, especially seeing as I was under the impression that most high street brands are now paraben free I was shocked to find out that this wasn't the case Shocked

you can buy crystals Del from Kernowcraft in Cornwall (might be a bit cheaper). They sell all manner of semi precious stones etc. They're a small business and I got quite a lot of stuff from them for making jewellery. I made some jade earrings for my niece's wedding and they matched me the stones up so I'd recommend em Very Happy

I know that anti persperants are not advisable but I do not like sticky pits either, the rest of body is free to glow - ( horses sweat, men perspire and ladies merely glow), so surely a few square inches under you arms isn't going to have that much effect on yours bodies effort to keep cool.
On a different tangent I have read that you can have botox injections into your armpits to stop you sweating Shocked - a bit extreme don't you think

I'm a none

a) too many reports about it being linked to breast cancer
b) mother has had breast cancer which raises my chances anyway
c) I don't sweat unless it's stupidly hot. My office's 25C, and I'm wearing a fleece and my hands are cold. Go figure.

Some people simply sweat more than others, not using anything is a perfectly good option for many people. The trouble with those few square inches under your arm is that the lymph nodes under our arms can quite effectively absorb and then distribute the parabens and other petrochemicals present in deodorants throughout our body. Also deodorants can block pores and inhibit the elimation of waste products from our bodies.

It is also important to realise that we need to sweat, it is the process of excreting toxins and waste products that our body doesn't need, deodorants simply block the perspiration and mask the odour. The thought of botox injections to prevent sweating seems completely non sensical to me our bodies need to excrete the nasties!

I have decided to try the rock crystal because it allows our bodies to sweat yet fights against the bacteria which cause the body odour.

The other thing to consider is .... do you drink enough water?

Quite simply you can dilute the smell !!

If what comes out of you looks like tea ... then understand why your friends choose to stand upwind of you !! Razz

Mine is called a Crystal Stick Deodorant - not sure whether that makes it a rock crystal or a roll-on crystal Confused but I voted for roll-on crystal.

I also have one of these:

- which is OK in the winter but not as good if it's sweaty weather Embarassed The crystal one works all year round!

And I drink at least 4 pints of mineral water every day, Flo, honest (plus herbal teas & fruit juice) - that's more than enough!

Where does it mention red rice ?
IF it's the Sri Lankan one it's really nice. Looks like pink pudding rice and tastes a bit like brown rice but not as soapy. Dont knoow if you can buy it in asian stores unless they are specifically Sri Lankan.
