Thanks Del hon!
Not that I'm sure we all need advice on composting, and as (mostly) lottie holders we're bound to be better than most at inventive recycling and freecycling. Wardy seems to be the Freecycle Queen at the moment!
Right, off to start off a links thread...

I don't Freecylce dead electrics though. We had a oil fired leccy heater that went t*ts up the other day but that was scrapped at the recycling point rather than Freecycled. Anything which can be used by someone else though gets Freecycled or given as bric a brac to the RSPCA or Heart Foundatiion etc. I sent by old mobile phone to Radio Sheffield and recycle all my ink carts for Derbyshire Wildlife. It's my aim to get nowt in my dustbin

If I had a dog, open fire and chickens I reckon I just might manage it. Freecyle and charity shops, plus kerb side. I just need to kneel on the council's neck to get kerb side plastic recycling then I'll be much happier cos I keep having to drive out of town to get shut of it. You can't get shower gel and shampoo in owt but plastic bottles can yer I keep cutting me placcy milk cartons into plant labels. I've got zillions of em but when I wanted some today I remembered they were at the lotty

We've a spare ancient Peugeot men's racing bike at the mo, 23" frame I think, 10 or 12 speed derailleurs (not sure which).
Needs two new thin wheels and tyres, probably a new chain and a darn good clean. Been outside the house since the weekend and nobody's freecycled it off yet!!!!
Has survived being hit by a bus (as did Sir) but he doesn't think he'll ever ride it again. Suspect if he wanted to cycle anywhere he'd borrow my Mongoose: 24 gears are rather better for round here than 10!
Anyone here want it? Would be an interesting salvage challenge.

ps it's not bent or anything. He rode it for quite a while after the bus incident.

I skip dipped a dog bed. Neighbours left it in the front garden for the dustmen. It was one of those rubberised plastic jobbies. Spotless it was. So I knocked on the door and asked them for it. (I haven't got a dog by the way). Took it to the PDSA.
