Have searched every thread looking for info!! Rolling Eyes

What varieties are you all growing ... if at all, and how are they doing?

Mine are tiny so I thought I might dig a few up and bring them home to put in the green house! Razz

Managed to get a couple of troughs (10" x 10" x 3') in it so could do a whole host of things!

I have Winter Density and it is still small but looks healthy enough. Its protection has blown off though and I haven't got round to putting it back on so hoping it will be alright tomorrow.

Wherever you gals are growing your lettuce just rmeber to put it somewhere that maximises light for light is more important than temperature when it comes to 'out of season' growth! Thats why winter lettuce can be commercially grown in Spain

Yes sir! And when I was in the dreaded B&Q last w/e I saw they were selling giant cloche with vents either end ...

... approx 3 ft long by 16" x 16" they were. £8 Could be used inside or outside the greenhouse, and good for salads I thought Wink

has anyone got lettuces growing in the greenhouse yet?

Those Meraviglia lettuce seeds you sent me Flo are well up on the plot now and doing brilliantly. I reckon I'm going to sow some in the house and grow them on in the greenhouse. The ones on the plot look great but I wonder if they will come February Confused Anyone else growing this variety?
